The ME STRONG 5k is an incredible community event that brings together more than 7,500 spirited participants. ME STRONG, Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation, and The Rotary Clubs of West Volusia County are proud to host the 16th Annual ME STRONG 5k. Presented by Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, this vibrant race not only promotes health and wellness but also serves a greater purpose. In the tradition of ME STRONG, 100% of sponsorship and fundraising donations will benefit Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation to ease the financial burden for community members and their families undergoing cancer treatment. The story

The Fabulous Five

January 28, 2012 was the dawn of the inaugural ME STRONG 5K. Nearly 1,000 community members flooded the streets of beautiful Historic DeLand, Florida. The ME STRONG 5k originated with the dream of bringing hope and happiness during a time that is often considered dark and frightening. Since that wonderful day, ME STRONG has grown into a 501c3 charity with a mission to support friends, families, and community members battling cancer. Each year, the annual 5k raises money to support our community members and their families in the fight against cancer.
